Force transducer for liquid level measurements; with electrical output

Forces (weights) can be easily and cheaply measured with this hydraulic/electric force transducer and made available directly by means of an analogue output signal for further processing.

The force measuring unit works on the hydraulic principle. The force applied to the piston is converted depending on the piston surface into a hydraulic pressure and transmitted to the integrated measuring cell.

The analogue signal produced is 4 ... 20mA.

The analogue signal can be processed with a digital display with a microprocessor and displayed in different units e.g. N, kN, kg, or t.

The piston stroke is 0.5mm maximum.

The piston of the force transducer is so designed that if fits the face of the force transmitting piston up to within ± 3°.

Accurate force measurement requires the force to be applied centrally and at right angles to the piston, which must be free from side forces.

This force transducer is unsuitable or only suitable in certain circumstance for the measurement of impact energy or acceleration.

Increasing or decreasing forces provided that the frequency is not too high can also be measured with hydraulic force transducers. Bearing in mind the life of the force measuring unit a force measuring unit with a somewhat larger working range should be chosen.
